An algorithm for the eyed typhoon center locating is proposed, it uses the mathematical morphology theory combining with intelligence method based on a single infrared-channel images of synchronous satellite.

According to the meteorology knowledge that there are obviously an eye area and air-tight cloud-wall area in a mature typhoon cloud, an algorithm was proposed here for locating the eyed typhoon center in an infrared image of satellite.
依据成熟台风云系具有明显的眼区、密闭云墙等气象知识,采用数学形态学中的腐蚀、膨胀等算法,针对单幅红外卫星云图有眼台风定位问题,提出了一种有眼台风中心定位的自动算法。
